Blaunpunkt's Austin 440 DVD receiver uses a 7" flip-out touchscreen to control your media. When you don't need the big screen, it retracts neatly back inside your dash. You can even pop off the faceplate to make this car stereo less enticing to would-be thieves. Its built-in Bluetooth® lets you wirelessly stream music from various apps on your smartphone, as well as take hands-free calls.

Bluetooth enables wireless streaming for stored music, Internet radio stations, podcasts, and audiobooks. This receiver also lets you take and make calls while keeping your hands on the wheel — an awesome safety feature when you're making your daily commute. Blaupunkt built in a sensitive microphone for your calls, located on the receiver's faceplate for a simpler installation.

Video offerings

You can use the 7" screen to view movies and video when your car is parked, and it also works as a great display for system and song info. If you want to take your show on longer journeys, connect video screens to the receiver's video output and keep your backseat passengers entertained. They can even control DVD playback using the included wireless remote control. This Blaupunkt also includes a camera input, letting you install a rear-view camera for easy viewing right from the receiver's screen.

Audio options 

For your music fix, you can slide in just about any disc, even a recordable CD loaded with MP3 or WMA files. The USB port, SD card slot, and auxiliary input offer plenty of other ways to check out all your media. The Austin 440 includes an 8-band equalizer with seven EQ presets for refining your sound. If you want some added impact to your tunes, front and sub preamp outputs lets you connect an amplifier or powered subwoofer.
